Brian's Mom's Chili Soup

1 pound of ground beef
1 yellow onion chopped
1 large bottle of tomato juice
1/2 box of rotini pasta
1 green bell pepper chopped
chili powder to taste
salt and pepper to taste
1 can baked beans
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon sugar

Brown the beef and drain the fat. Add the beef, chili powder, onion and pepper and garlic to a large pot. Add as much tomato juice as you would like until chili becomes as thick as you'd like. Add the salt, pepper and beans. Cook until heated through. Add the pasta and cook until pasta is cooked through. Add the sugar to cut the acidity of the tomato juice. Serve with sour cream, cheese and crackers, if desired.
